Start suits regular work; Pro suits heavy use, when you work through legal questions, review documents and research case law every day.
Any AI work uses your allowance: simple tasks use less, complex research and work with documents use more. You are charged for the work actually done, not a fixed price per question or per reasoning depth.
Settings shows what is left as a percentage and as an approximate number of answers. The Terms of Service call this allowance AI Usage.
They are estimates from measuring typical tasks, not message limits. How many answers you actually get depends on your questions and documents.
The three numbers — for Quick, Balanced and Thorough depth — describe one shared allowance and don't add up: if you only use Balanced depth, use the Balanced estimate as your guide.
Running out of usage does not cut off an answer already in progress. You can ask new questions again when your allowance renews at the start of the next billing period, after you buy a top-up, or after you upgrade from Start to Pro. On Free, choose Start or Pro to keep working.
If a service error stops an answer from being delivered, it doesn't use your allowance.
No. Start and Pro usage renews at the start of each paid billing period, and anything unused does not carry over.
Top-up usage is tracked separately: it remains available until used up, for up to 12 months from purchase, and is used after your plan's allowance.
Any unused balance stays available after the paid plan ends, until used up or for up to 12 months from purchase.
Top-ups are bought on an active Start or Pro plan and are used after your plan's allowance, soonest-expiring first. A top-up doesn't change your plan or what it includes.
No. The trial allowance is granted once, when you sign up, so you can try DeeLexy on a real task. It doesn't renew and isn't restored.
When you choose Start or Pro, the plan's allowance replaces the trial. Top-ups aren't available on Free.
